Adult Ministries

Networking Ministry Teams:

Our Networking Ministiry Teams provide us opportunities for personal ministry involvement, and allows us to help others in many ways.

Biblical Basis: "We are to serve one another (Galatians 5:13) with our spiritual gifts (I Peter 4:10) in the right spirit (I Corinthians 13:1-3) as an expression of obedience and worship (Romans 12:1).

1. First Call Ministry - Visitation team to those who are new in the church.  They call all visitors and send information packets or schedule visits.

2. Fix-Its - Ministry team of mechanically and manually gifted men who do minor repair and mechanical/carpentry work for the elderly, widows single moms, handicapped or those who are struggling financially within the church.

3. Good Sense - Ministry team who provides help in areas of financial counseling, understanding and completing Medicare/Insurance forms.

4. Gracious Greeters - Ministry team with gift of hospitality to greet people as they come into the church.

5. In-Touch - Ministry team of caring people who send notes and cards for a variety of reasons: those who participate in service or celebrate an achievement, those who are hospitalized, are shut-in or in nursing homes, have wedded, had a death in the family, or had a new baby.

6. Library - Ministry team who organizes and structures use of and materials in the library.

7. Non-Food Pantry - Ministry team who organizes and manages a center that keeps non-food products for low income families of Whitley County.  It's open from 10 - noon on Thursdays.

8. Parish Nursing- Nurses in our congregation staff this ministry designed to help parishioners understand their health in the context of the spiritual, physical, social and emotional aspects of their daily life.   Regular blood pressure screenings are offered as part of their ministry.  We provide a nurse on call every Sunday morning in case of emergency.   If you are in need of a nurse, the nurse on call may be paged at the Nursery.

9. Pew Crew - Ministry team who makes sure that the response cards from both worship services are collected and turned in to the church office.

10. Transportation - Ministry team that provides rides for those in need, such as Doctor's appointments, etc.

11. Tutoring - Ministry team made up of adults and youth who are willing to tutor our own school students and adults.

12. Ushering - Team who greets, passes out bulletins, helps find seating and takes up the offering.

13. Wedding Ministry - Church wedding coordinators help pastors and wedding party facilitate the wedding.

14. Guest Services- Ministry team that greets visitors and shares information about our church.
