Missions

Our Purpose: To educate, enlist, and engage persons in mission ministry.

Definition of Missions: Missions is considered to be any local, national, or worldwide endeavor designed to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples, and meeting the whole need of mankind - spiritual, emotional, physical, and/or financial.

How Can You Be Involved?

1. Intercession - Realizing the great power of prayer, we trust that each person will pray for the spiritual needs of our world.

2. Investment - We encourage you to financially invest in reaching our world for Christ through giving.

3. Involvement - We also plan annual opportunities for you to go on short term mission trips to experience a cross-cultural field for yourself.  Mission work teams are scheduled at various times.

Mission Fields: First Church has missionaries in the countries of Haiti and the Philippines, colleges and camps in the USA.  We support work through the Churches of God in:

• Brazil
• Haiti
• India
• Eastern Europe
• Bangladesh
• Navajo Missions in the Southwest USA
• Hatian Ministries in the eastern USA
• Involvement in hurricane reconstruction from 2006 - 2008 in Biloxi Mississippi
